Features of Managed Hosting
The management services provided by managed hosting set it apart from other dedicated hosting options.
Managed hosting companies are in charge of software and hardware installation and configuration, as well as monitoring, updates, technical support, and system maintenance. Managed hosting solutions can usually be tailored to your company’s specific needs.
They do, however, cover general features such as:
Technical assistance with problem resolution. System administrators, technical staff, and network operations engineers with expertise in a wide range of technologies are employed by managed hosting companies. They invest in their employees to stay current with the latest technological solutions, resulting in long-term customer satisfaction and better service for your company.
Services for security. Security measures are essential for both large and small websites. A managed hosting provider will provide services such as intrusion detection, virus and spam protection, vulnerability scans, physical security (data centre protection), and so on.

SiteGround has gone down from when I first started with them. Their support staff is still friendly and helpful but HOW you access them is now horrible. It used to be that one could open a ticket and then go on about your business. That was Nirvana! Now you have to dodge a phalanx of questions just to get to the two options of "chat" and "telephone", neither of which give you the freedom to communicate asynchronously! Their Site Tools is a pain in the rear (give me cPanel ANY DAY!). Every link is javascript so you can't easily open up new tabs by dragging the link - again, making it less flexible and convenient to work with. Collaborators is a nice feature but you can't help users with their email nor with domain transfers. All of this would be tolerated if they were not so SLOW (and expensive)!!! TTFB is horrible. I used to be a fan, but I won't steer anyone to SiteGround anymore.
