What exactly is Reseller Hosting?

Reseller hosting is a web hosting service that allows a person or business to sell web hosting services as their own.

When people hear the term “reseller hosting,” they usually look at you puzzled. A web hosting company’s main focus in Flores Island, is usually on providing web hosting services to their clients, but with reseller hosting, you become the host and decide how to charge and support your clients.

Reseller hosting is a web hosting service that allows a person or business in Flores Island, Azores, Portugal, to sell web hosting services as their own.

Reseller Accounts are Simple to Manage

Reseller Accounts are Simple to Manage

When you sign up for reseller hosting, you will usually be given access to an admin console in cPanel or another administration package. Your monthly disc space and bandwidth allowance will be included. The panel will include the tools needed to create new accounts, assign disc space, email addresses, domains, and other typical web hosting features.

It is then simply a matter of creating a new account, deciding how much disc space or bandwidth to allocate, and proceeding from there.

Reseller hosting allows you to make money in the website hosting business whether you are a web developer, designer, or simply someone who dreams of owning your own web hosting business.

Setting up reseller hosting is very similar to setting up your own shared hosting for a website. The main distinction is that instead of simply setting up your own domain, email, and website, you set up the framework within which your clients will do all of that.

The fact that your clients will have their own cPanel or other dashboard where they can manage their own account is a significant advantage of reseller hosting. This saves you a lot of administration time and makes reseller hosting more like a side hustle than a full-time job.

White Labeling Capability

White labelling allows you to add your own branding to someone else’s product or service, in this case web hosting, and sell it as your own. It allows you to offer hosting to clients as if it were your own product.

White Labeling Capability
Make Your Own Hosting Plans

Make Your Own Hosting Plans

Depending on your typical client profile, you can set up flexible hosting, WordPress hosting, SSD hosting, or whatever package you believe will best meet their needs. Then you can charge whatever the market will bear and pocket the profit.

Low Entry Barrier

If you have never managed web hosting before, there is a significant learning curve to reseller hosting.

If you’ve previously managed shared hosting or something similar, it’s a small step up with a little more administration. If you’ve used cPanel to create your own website, the process is very similar. This time, however, you’re creating multiple hosting accounts from your master account.

Pricing for such packages is typically even lower than that of a standard VPS, with Host Papa packages starting at just a few dollars per month, which is only a slight increase over shared hosting.

How Does a Reseller Make Money?

Nobody is going to tell you that reseller hosting will make you rich, but it can help you supplement your income.

Sell your existing clients a hosting service

Essentially, if you provide full managed hosting to your customers, you can charge a premium over standard hosting, such as charging $50/month to each client but handling all of their technical needs and maintenance, such as core CMS upgrades, plugins, backups, security, and so on.

Your residential income is determined by the wholesale price you pay the host as well as the maximum your market can support. Some hosts, as previously stated, charge a monthly maintenance fee for reseller hosting accounts, but many do not. Before settling on a provider, it’s important to research the market, what’s available, and at what price.

Most reseller accounts are scalable, allowing you to start small when launching your offering and scale up only as needed. This is a cost-effective method of doing business that keeps your costs as low as possible.

Sell your existing clients a hosting service
Easy access to client websites, and scalability

Easy access to client websites, and scalability

There is no waiting for clients to send logins or delays while they reset their passwords if you offer web services to clients who also host with you. You have immediate and unrestricted access to their accounts. This means you can respond to issues quickly or provide better customer service than usual. All can be rewarded with loyalty and possibly referrals.

In addition, most reseller hosting accounts are scalable, allowing you to start small and scale up as your client list grows. Because hosting is virtual, scaling can be accomplished quickly and without incurring additional administrative costs.

How can I begin reselling web hosting?

First, you should sit down and draught a thorough business plan. If you’re going to charge people in Flores Island, Azores, Portugal, money and make a profit, you should have a plan that will help you not only plan how your business will function, but also how it will grow.

You should then conduct market research to find the reseller hosting that best meets your requirements. Make certain that what you select meets the needs of your target clientele. After you’ve selected and subscribed to your reseller hosting solution, you can begin labelling it to match your company’s identity. You should also devote time to becoming acquainted with the features that you will provide to your subscribers.

You may also need to configure your management software so that you are prepared to serve your customers. When you’ve completed your preparations, you’re ready to begin reselling your hosting space. It is very simple to sign up for a reseller hosting plan and then begin selling space to prospective website owners. However, failing to be prepared to explain what your business offers and plan out the services that you will provide is a good way to quickly lose customers and potentially end your business.

Great customer service via chat, Siteground always comes through with service

  2. SiteGround is Amazing and Affordable

    Marie I

I transferred from GoDaddy.com I had a well established site I thought moving to GoDaddy would be beneficial. I moved to GoDaddy in July of 2022 I encountered numerous problems with more expenses but no resolutions. One week with Siteground problems are actually fixed and my site has traffic again. I am formally disputing the $300 that GoDaddy insisted I had to spend to fix an established site. SiteGround is amazing for significantly less money.

  1. i am stuck since weeks with errors and…

    Haytham A

i am stuck since weeks with errors and errors and Cpanel not working, since 24 hours all websites on the server get infected with no access to any website admin panel to do anything. They have good team, however, such business need more expert on support and more knowledge, if my issue not solved today i have to move to another hosting company

  2. UPDATED: VPS Boosting to F rating and offline server

    JB

Further update: Following the comment left by A2. Issues have continued, site is still not near pre-transfer speeds even with paying x5 more for this service. On my own, even though this is a managed VPS, I located an alarming RAM usage issue. Reported to A2, who informed me the server logging reports were switched off for some reason. Told to wait a few hours. I have waited a few days, no reply. 3 more calls to A2. Told someone is on it, 24 hours ago. Gone and passed no one has been on the site from A2 in 3 days. My previous review, sparked an email which basically went one by one telling me whos fault each issue was, rather than addressing the actual overall issue here. I have been told to PAY more to Litespeed their selected optimisation tool for the CDN and image optimisation credits. So the advertised turbo server, actually requires you to PAY more for the server to be optimised fully. No where is this stated. My site with this new CDN is loading without images on first load, and double flashing. All i get over and over is 'sorry for the inconvenience'. It is clear to me, A2 hosting have given up and do not hold either the want or ability or resource to resolve this mess. Which its me and my business that suffers financially. I do not suspect I will get any further in the next few hours, after requesting a timeline and plan for sorting this. As well as the main user profile that is now somehow corrupted. (which support just said, ive never seen this before....)Thousands of £ lost in revenue from a complete drop off of SEO work on google rankings. Weeks worth of embarrassment with a glitching painfully dial up speed slow site. All our original optimisations undone. Money spent in time, energy and opportunity cost for trying to get A2 to resolve. I am giving up. Will be transferring away.Again, I would not advice anyone risks their business website transfer and hosting to A2, it has been shambolic and negligent at best. Well glad to see I am not the only one.But for VPS managed this has been a nightmare. We are day 8 into transferring over from Siteground, who I never had an issue with in the years we were with them, but we needed more speed. It has been a complete nightmare and continues to be. 1. They do not start the transfer when requested so we faced a day out of business.2. Ongoing non-stop issues with emails going down, not sending, not loading into inbox.3.Optimisation team, when they actually respond, have optimised our site down to a consistent F rating.4. we have lost 50% of our keywords on google due to this5. Site gets a database corruption and goes down, no one can tell me why or update me6. I have spent the last week 50% of my time day and night on to support trying to get answer or issues resolved.7.Virus scanner doesnt work on the site8.They have caused Hotlinking image issues with 3rd party plug ins like omnisend to appear.9. My site keeps getting broken (when its up) by the teams trying to optimise it10. Incorrect information, or contradictory information11. No accountability or ownership12. New support person every reply telling me to be patient13. £1000s in lost revenue from sit bounce rate and loss of rankings14. I keep getting asked for the same information over and over and over15. Will not escalate when asked16. Do not reply timely or prioritise critical issues17. I have been gaslit by their support task saying its not A2....... right so all this happend by chance when we started to transition?18. We have lost 100s of leads this week due to winning an award but not having a site functioning to convert from it19. Spent another few hundred on my phone bill calling the states to try and resolve.20. I could continue.....Absolutely shambolic, couldn't organise their way out of a paper bag. Cannot communicate or give any expectation. Its literally a nightmare. I am stuff with my domain transferring or I would have reversed back to siteground. Looks like a second weekend without an operational site going into online busiest period. I will be bankrupt end of the month at this rate. AVOID !!!!

  2. My 20 yr old account from Lunar pages…

    Dennis

My 20 yr old account from Lunar pages has many gigabytes of past test/pages and the like. HostPapa warned me for 12 months+ that auto backups were failing because I needed to buy more backup space. I didn't act because I auto build my current webpages and backup is a waste of money. The other day HostPapa logs showed they were doing so maintenance and auto restore on my account failed. I could not even ftp in. 503 on everything. Ok. filed a trouble report, did a chat, trouble ticket got pushed up to senior support and very quickly my account was restored (some mail was lost, which may be on me... I believed Microsoft Outlook kept a local copy on my mail. WRONG. Gone on website equals gone on my windows 10 machine).Bottom line, HostPapa gave me very fast can do support and fixed what I likely caused by not cleaning up my site directories. 10 out of 10.Window 10... don't get me started... have had mail issues since I moved from XP to 10. Microsoft 7 out of 10. I need to move to linux to solve them.
